Privacy Policy
This notice explains how Agralan Limited handles personal information for Agralan Sprayers, including enquiries, website accounts and consumer and business orders. Agralan Limited is the controller. Contact info@agralan.co.uk or use the postal address below for privacy questions or requests.
Information we use and where it comes from
We receive information you provide when you enquire, register, order, request support or make a complaint. This may include your name, business and contact details, billing and delivery addresses, order details, messages and return information. We receive payment status and transaction references from payment providers, and delivery updates from carriers. Website and payment services may process IP addresses, browser/device information, session identifiers and security logs to operate and protect their services.
Do not send card details or unnecessary sensitive personal information in an enquiry. Card payments are processed through the payment provider's payment interface; we use transaction details to administer the order.
Why we use information and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to a consumer's purchase enquiry, taking an order, delivering goods and managing returns | Steps requested before a contract and performance of the contract |
| Handling business-contact enquiries and orders; customer service; maintaining account records | Our legitimate interests in conducting business and providing customer service; contract where the individual is a party |
| Accounting, tax records and compliance with legal duties | Legal obligation |
| Preventing fraud, securing the website, resolving disputes and protecting legal rights | Legitimate interests in protecting customers and our business, and legal obligations where applicable |
| Optional marketing where you have agreed to receive it | Consent; you can withdraw it at any time |
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and an absolute right to object to use of your information for direct marketing. We do not treat making a purchase as consent to all marketing. Where we rely on consent, withdrawing it does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Who receives information
We share relevant information with providers supporting our website and business systems, payment processing, delivery, communications, accounting, professional advice and legal compliance. Our website uses Odoo. Online card payment services may be provided by Stripe where offered at checkout. Delivery information is shared with the selected carrier, including DPD or Royal Mail where selected. Each receives the information needed for its role. Providers may act as processors or as independent controllers, for example where a payment provider has its own fraud-prevention and legal duties. See Stripe's privacy information when using its services.
We may disclose information to authorities where legally required, and to advisers where needed to handle a dispute. We do not sell customer personal information.
Where anti-spam verification is displayed on a form, Cloudflare processes technical information to help distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Where address suggestions are offered, the address-search service processes the text you enter to provide those suggestions. These services have their own privacy information.
International processing
Technology and payment providers may process information outside the UK. Where an international transfer requires safeguards, we use the applicable UK adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards, as relevant. Contact us for information about the safeguards relating to your data.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose, including tax, accounting, fraud prevention and legal claims. Accounting and transaction records are normally retained for six years after the relevant accounting period, or longer where law or a live dispute requires it. Enquiries, support correspondence, account information and security logs are retained according to their purpose, our relationship with you, legal obligations and any outstanding dispute, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Marketing contact details are removed from active marketing when you unsubscribe; we may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your preference.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information; object to processing; and withdraw consent. Some rights are qualified by legal obligations or the lawful basis used. Email info@agralan.co.uk. We may need proportionate evidence of identity. We normally respond to rights requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You are not required to pay a fee in normal circumstances.
Privacy complaints
You can complain directly to us by email or post. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate without undue delay and explain the outcome. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
Providing information, cookies and changes
We need relevant contact, delivery and payment information to fulfil an order; without it, we may be unable to supply the goods. Optional fields are not required for purchase. See our Cookie Policy for browser storage. We will update this notice when our practices change and bring significant changes to your attention where required.
